Happy St. Patricks Day! We went to the Irish Festival and had a great time! They had a petting zoo there and the girls loved it. They wanted to stay in there and play with the bunnies! Don't worry we washed and sanitized our hands after leaving the petting zoo!

My sweet Emily will be turning 7 on March 26th....just a couple of weeks away!

A couple of weeks ago when we were in Dothan my mom gave me this box labeled "Jana's Breakable Dolls". She had been cleaning out and wanted me to store them in my attic for a while. Well she gave them to me just in time for me to unpack this cute little doll below!

Do you remember these? My heart almost leaped out of my chest when I saw them. They are pretty old....lets say "vintage" but I love them. I am going to give this cute little doll to my Emily for her birthday. I know that it is very breakable (I actually had to glue her wing back on) but I think Emily is very responsible and will take care of her. If she does happen to break her that's ok I have more glue!

She weighs about 11 pounds and is full grown.

This is a funny stand she does at the front door when she is looking out for people to bark at! You can tell she is long and lean. And like most Greyhounds she can RUN!!

Eddie's Mom had surgery, her defibrillator was replaced so we were taking care of her. I am happy to report she is doing great! What a blessing! Both of the girls are doing really good in school. I am so happy to say this year has probably been the most Christ centered Christmas for me! I am sure one of the reasons is that at preschool everyday we go to Devotion and in devotion we pray and sing songs to God. I read the story of Jesus birth multiple times and in several different translations to my girls and to my class. I pray that this Christmas and the story of Jesus made an impression on these sweet little children.

Yesterday I took the girls to see "The Snow Queen"! The Tallahassee Irish Step Dancers and the Killearn Performing Arts presented a Celtic Christmas featuring The Snow Queen. It was based on the story by Hans Christian Anderson. The girls loved it! I have been taking an Irish Step Dance class on Thursday nights and Sarah is my teacher. She is an amazing dancer and a very patient teacher with us "Adult Beginners"! After the show we went down to the front for the girls to get their programs signed by their favorite performers. Of course....Miss Sarah was the first person they wanted!

Let me start this post by saying how much I love and appreciate all of you!

Today I am working on finishing up ALL of my orders! After lots of thought, prayer and consideration I am not going to be taking any more monogramming orders. The sewing machine will be traveling to Dothan to my Mom for some much needed rest and servicing! If you are thinking about buying a sewing/embroidery machine I recommend a Janome Memory Craft 11000 we love it! As for me...I will also be taking a much needed rest. I am now teaching part-time at Good Samaritan Academy and I love it! I love the people I work with, I love the kids and I love the parents. Between that and being a Mom, Wife, Daughter, Friend, Maid, Nurse and Coupon shopper I am having trouble keeping up with everything :)

I want to thank you for supporting me and Jana's Custom Embroidery!

Last week the girls wanted to play in the pool. I told them this would probably be the last time they could get the pool out because it was going to get cool outside! Aren't they so cute in their little swimming suits? It is starting to feel like Fall so I don't think we will be doing any more swimming!

I love that this little pool/slide kept them happy and entertained in the backyard this summer!

Katherine is doing great in VPK preschool! It has been quite an adjustment for her. This is the first time she has gone to any kind of school. Every day the kids have devotion time and at the end they hold the flag and say the Pledge of Allegiance. Katherine had prayed every night last week that she would get a turn to hold the flag. On Friday I brought my camera and explained to Miss Amanda the situation (wink, wink). So here she is holding the flag at devotion time!

11 Year Anniversary!

If you look on the left of the table you will see a wonderful dessert that I made. I have had so many people ask me for this recipe so here it is. I don't know the real name of it is so years ago we named it "Playgroup Surprise".

Playgroup Surprise

1 box of graham crackers

2 packages of Vanilla Instant Pudding

3 cups cold milk

12 oz Cool Whip

1 container chocolate icing

Combine milk and dry pudding. Beat with whisk. Add Cool whip. Place a layer of cracker on the bottom of a 9 x 13 pan. Put 1/2 of pudding mixture on top of crackers. Place another layer of crackers on top and then layer remaining pudding mixture on crackers. Place last layer of crackers on top. Microwave icing for 1 minute on high. Pour icing on top of crackers. Refrigerate 4 hours or overnight. Enjoy!

Last week was a busy week for us all! I started working at Good Samaritan Academy and the girls went with me to school. This is how I found Katherine one afternoon. I think she was just worn out from all that preschool fun!

Last night was Emily's orientation for 1st Grade! She is growing up way too fast! Here is a picture of the girls before we left to go to the school. We met Emily's teacher Mrs. Pereda. She seems really nice and Emily went right up and talked to her. This is her first year at Conley Elementary so she was excited about getting settled in for the year. They have normal desks and the atmosphere of the room seems more "school" like than Kindergarten did. I am so proud of Emily and I know that she will do great this year!

I am sorry for the lack of blog posts. It has been really busy here at Camp Currie! I have been monogramming lots of backpacks and lunchboxes for school! I am also starting a part-time job on Monday! I will be working at Katherine's preschool in the morning time. I am really excited but nervous about this change. Please pray for us/me as we make this transition!

My very talented Mom made the girls these cute Auburn dresses! My job in the project was to applique them. I found this AU applique design and just had to use it with the coordinating fabric. Now getting them to pose so that you could see them in the cute dresses was harder than the sewing! For the fall I will put a white long sleeve shirt under them. War Eagle!

The girls went to a Princess Birthday Party this morning! There was a special guest! Yes Cinderella came...The girls LOVED her. She read a story and played games with them. It was so cute! Katherine had a great time at our church (First Baptist Tallahassee) Vacation Bible School! I am so amazed at all of the songs she learned this year. She is a great singer!

The girls are taking dance class this summer! They are so cute and they LOVE it. Emily is in a Ballet/Tap class and Katherine is in a Ballet class.

We went to Chick-fil-a and the Florida Department of Health and Safety was there fitting children for new helmets! So Emily got a new helmet fitted for her! The size that fit her was red so she took some of her stickers and decorated it. They did not have a size small enough to fit Katherine but that is ok because Emily's old helmet was small enough for Katherine so they both are happy.
